Playbook

How to run a campaign people believe in.

The campaigns that reach their goal are rarely the loudest. They are the clearest. Here is what consistently works.

Open with the moment, not the ask

Start where the story starts: what happened, when, and who it hit. The request lands harder once someone can picture the situation.

Show the maths behind the goal

List the costs. Rent, materials, travel, treatment. A goal that breaks down into line items reads as a plan instead of a number.

Use photos that look real

Three or four honest images beat a gallery of stock. Show the place, the people and the problem. Daylight and a steady hand is enough.

Get the first ten gifts fast

Message close contacts directly before you post publicly. A campaign that already has support is far easier for strangers to join.

Share in the places you already talk

Group chats, local pages, work channels, congregations. One personal message outperforms a dozen broadcast posts.

Post an update every time money moves

Say what you spent, on what, and what is left. Updates are the single strongest predictor of a campaign reaching its goal.
